“You’ll have whiplash until the very end.”—New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover
Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.
But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.
What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.
You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.
The Wives by Tarryn Fisher is a psychological thriller that had me gripped from the opening pages. The story is told from the point of view of Thursday, one of three wives that are marred to a man named Seth.
Thursday knows that she is sharing her husband but she tries to be alright with that fact and be Seth’s best wife. The couple only meets on Thursdays but when they do Thursday tries to make it a perfect night for her husband always cooking and taking care of him but Seth often sneaks off in the mornings leaving her until their next night together.
Even though Thursday only knows the other wives by their nicknames she always asks Seth what is happening in their lives so she knows some of what goes on in the other relationships. Once Thursday finds evidence of one of the other wives in the arrangement she can’t help but look into more information.
This story is one that definitely takes the reader on a wild ride once it takes off with plenty of twists and turns along the way. I was completely engaged from the very start wanting to know of the relationship and what would happen and it only became more and more engaging as you peeled back the layers to the relationship as it went along.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
