About the book:
From bestselling author Amanda Prowse comes a heartwarming tale of first impressions and lasting love.
Thomasina ‘Hitch’ Waycott loves living and working on the remote family farm and B&B. But she also wants more. To see the world. To own her own home. To fall madly in love.
But those are fairy tales, and if her life is a fairy tale, then she’s the ugly duckling. Her deformed lip, her crooked limbs and her weak heart have kept her from taking chances. But that’s about to change.
When Grayson Potts comes to stay, he’s unlike anyone Thomasina has ever met. He’s aloof, eccentric and exceptionally kind. He’s also totally unconcerned with the physical flaws that have always defined Thomasina.
The two form a bond that neither has had before. It’s possible that it could become something more, but Thomasina also wonders if it’s too good to be true. By putting her heart on the line, Thomasina may open herself to heartbreak. But she may also open herself to so much more.
The Things I Know by Amanda Prowse is a women’s fiction title with some romance and a whole lot of emotion. The story is of a young woman, Thomasina ‘Hitch’ Waycott, who wants nothing more than to live that of a normal life not letting her deformities get in the way.
While Thomasina enjoys working on the remote farm and B&B her family owns she also dreams of more. For Thomasina though wanting a boyfriend and to see the world isn’t as easy for her as it is for others being born with a deformed lip, crooked limbs and a weak heart. When a young man, Grayson Potts, walks into her life Thomasina begins to wonder if she can have it all.
The Things I Know is not the first book I’ve read from Amanda Prowse and it undoubtedly will not be the last. The thing that I expected going into this novel was for it to be an emotional roller coaster and a box of tissues should probably be handy and of course that is the type of read this is exactly. I couldn’t help but fall for Thomasina as I’m sure other readers had before me. If you are looking for a book full of emotion I don’t think you can go wrong with Amanda Prowse.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

You had me going for a moment there, Carrie. I thought Prowse had a new book out that I had missed. But then I saw the name Hitch. I loved this book. Glad you enjoyed it too. ❤📚

I have not read this book by Amands Prowse, but I’ve read others, and I like her writing. I think I’d like this one.

You probably would Wendy. I’ve read a few others and she does have that emotional style that pulls you into the story in all that I’ve read.🙂

Great review Carrie. A lot of her books are available on KU as read/listen and I need to take time to do that. Her books always have my emotions all over, so fall is a good time to get to some of them. This one sounds like one to start with.

Thanks Carla! You are so right, every one I’ve read I’ve needed the tissues nearby.
