Music Monday: Two Pina Coladas – Garth Brooks + Mexicoma – Tim McGraw

musicmonday

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Monday.

The song and video I am sharing today is:

Two Pina Coladas – Garth Brooks and Mexicoma – Tim McGraw

Last week we had an actual air temperature outside of -11F with a windchill of -39F so needless to say despite a bit of a warm up this weekend I am still mentally wishing myself onto a tropical beach so on with the tunes to take me there!

Lyrics:

I was feelin’ the blues
I was watching the news
When this fellow came on the TV
He said “I’m tellin’ you
That science has proven
That heartaches are healed by the sea”
That got me goin’
Without even knowin’
I packed right up and drove down
Now I’m on a roll
And I swear to my soul
Tonight I’m gonna paint this town
So bring me two piña coladas
I want one for each hand
Let’s set sail with Captain Morgan
Oh, and never leave dry land
Hey, troubles I forgot ’em
I buried ’em in the sand
So bring me two piña coladas
She said good-bye to her good timin’ man
Good-bye!
Oh now I’ve gotta say
That the wind and the waves
And the moon winkin’ down at me
Eases my mind
By leavin’ behind
The heartaches that love often brings
Now I’ve got a smile
That goes on for miles
With no inclination to roam
And I’ve gotta say
That I think I’ve gotta stay
‘Cause this is feelin’ more and more like home
So bring me two piña coladas
I’ve gotta have one for each hand
Let’s set sail with Captain Morgan
Oh and never leave dry land
Hey troubles I forgot ’em
I buried ’em in the sand
So bring me two piña coladas
She said good-bye to her good timin’ man
Bring, bring, bring me two piña coladas (Yeah!)
I want one for each hand
Let’s all set sail with Captain Morgan
Oh, and never leave dry land
Troubles I forgot ’em
(I buried ’em in the sand)
I buried her in the sand
So bring me two piña coladas
And say hello to her good timin’ man
Bring me two pina coladas
I gotta have one for each hand
Let’s all set sail with Captain Morgan
And we will never leave dry land
(…FADE…)
Hey, troubles I forgot ’em
Yeah, I buried ’em in the sand
So bring me two pina coladas
She said good-bye to her good timin’ man

Lyrics:

I’m sittin’ here stoned, at Tortilla Jo’s
Nobody knows my name and that’s alright with me.
She said adios, so I said hello
Don Julio, top shelf, self help remedy
Sure was good to know you
I still wanna hold ya,
But I know it’s over.
You ain’t coming back.
This ain’t California,
I’m somewhere south of the border,
I’m in a mexicoma.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over,
But the sun still shines on a fool like me.
You pulled the plug, on what I thought was love
But I got just enough juice to forget about you and squeeze this lime.
I can see the ocean (I can see the ocean)
I can feel the breeze (I can feel the breeze)
Almost can’t remember how you left me, down here on my knees
Sure was good to know you
I still wanna hold ya,
But I know it’s over.
You ain’t coming back.
This ain’t Oklahoma,
I’m somewhere south of the border,
I’m in a mexicoma.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over,
But the sun still shines on a fool like me.
I’m sittin’ here stoned, at Tortilla Jo’s
And nobody knows my name and that’s alright with me.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over.
I’m in a mexicoma.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over.
I’m in a mexicoma.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over.
I’m in a mexicoma.
My my my my my my mexicoma,
I know it’ over,
But the sun still shines on a fool like me.
