Curse of the Moon (The Secret Warrior, #2)Curse of the Moon by Beth Trissel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Curse of the Moon is the second book in the Secret Warrior series by Beth Trissel. The first book of the series introduced us to seventeen year old Morgan Daniel and her younger brother who had been in witness protection after witnessing a gang murder but went on the run after being found by the gang.

After crashing their car and trying to hide they saw a wolf in the forest and the next they knew the wolves were attacking the pursuing gang. After the gang was chased off a young man came to the rescue and proceeded to bring Morgan and her brother back to a huge secret lodge in the forest. There they found out there is a whole world out there that they didn’t know existed and they are a huge part of.

Now in Curse of the moon after Morgan had learned of her werewolf nature Morgan’s wolf is now out of control and she needs a potion from a lizard shifter witch to find a cure. Unfortunately even though Morgan gets the potion her brother ends up cursed by the witch so as to force Morgan to complete a mission for her.

The Secret Warrior series is a young adult series that involves werewolves, shifters, witches and a world of legends and curses and many other fun things. It’s fast paced and action packed in each book and always a fun read. Many funny moments thrown in the stories here and there to go right along with the action.

Curse of the Moon picked up the story dropping the reader right back into the action with Morgan and gang. I might have preferred a bit of a reminder of the the happenings in the first book but it didn’t take me long to get right back into the action with these likable characters. After finishing this second book I can’t wait to see where the author takes them in the next edition. There’s never a dull moment and so many creative things tossed into the mix.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Many thanks to Beth Trissel for allowing me to review this book.
