I want you to be my first, Daddy…
AMY
I sold my innocence for over a million dollars. Don’t judge me. You have no idea how far I’d go to save my Mom and our home.
This was the only thing I had that could bring in enough money in time, so yeah, I did it.
What kind of a guy purchases a girl’s virginity though? I had no idea what I’d be walking into when I arrived at the airport.
Kris Lane sure doesn’t look like he needs to pay for it. Tattoos, muscles, abs like a god, he must be tripping over panties wherever he goes. A girl could do worse for her first.
But why is he making me work so hard? Why doesn’t he just take what he paid for? By the time I stumble upon what he really wants, he’s wrapped me around his little finger…
KRIS
Buying Amy’s virginity was a dare, a high-stakes wager with my business partner. He knew I couldn’t resist the challenge.
The rules were simple. One week with Amy. I had to resist her every advance and send her home just as untouched as when she arrived.
Little did I know that the photos on the website didn’t do her beauty any justice. Her body speaks to mine in ways I didn’t know was possible.
But I never lose. I was winning this bet, too, until she whispered those magic words in my ear. No man could resist her, and it’s time I got my money’s worth.
All bets are off.
But what happens at the end of our week together?”
Warning: This book is a million out of ten on the spiciness scale. When these two get together… this book does *not* fade to black. Keep a fan handy.

When the doors slid open I nearly forgot how to breathe. She stood there with those blue eyes wide open, catching the setting sun at just the right angle to make them look like they glowed with supernatural beauty.
I’d seen gorgeous women before. I’d seen women that turn every head in the room before. Hell, even Cindy turned heads that night I first laid eyes on Amy’s picture.
What I hadn’t seen before was a girl so beautiful that it made me ache to not be touching her. Maybe it was the month and a half of abstinence, but every flutter of her eyelash, curve of her face, the way her blonde hair bounced and the movement of her body almost physically pulled me to her.
Amy’s eyes shot down as if she didn’t know what to do with herself, and her youthful inexperience shone through. She was fucking adorable, and my two million plus dollars were in serious trouble.
I was immeasurably thankful for the few steps she took while looking at her feet, it gave me a chance to regroup. By the time she looked up again, I felt more or less in charge of myself, but watching her move wasn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination.
Her eyes caught the sign I was holding and then travelled up to meet my gaze. I could almost hear a click when our eyes locked. Fireworks could have gone off next to me and I wouldn’t have turned to look at them.

The Sorceress and the Moving Mirror by Daniel W. Koch
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The Sorceress and the Moving Mirror is a fantasy read that takes place in the land of Aboridge where those known as commoners and the sorcerers in the land are on the verge of war. One of the King’s men was killed and now the king of the commoners is declaring war upon the sorcerers.
Tessa is the niece of the commoner King but she has known since she was little that she is also a sorcerer but she has kept that hidden from most for most of her life. When Tessa tells the wrong person what she is they in turn go to her father who asks the King to execute his own daughter for her sorcery. Tessa then finds herself on the run and caught up in the middle of the war.
The Sorceress and the Moving Mirror actually seems to be a prequel to another book by Daniel W. Koch, The Prince and the Thief. I didn’t know this when picking this one up and while I thought the author did an OK job of world building in this one I also felt like maybe I’d know or have learned more about Aboridge if I had read the other book.
For me in the end this one turned out to be an alright fantasy read, plenty of action and adventure throughout and a decent pace. The book jumps right into things in the beginning which had me wondering whether I had missed something that came before in the previous book but I learned of Tessa and the other characters well enough. I did enjoy Tessa’s prospective a bit more and would find myself more interested when she told the tale.

Protected by Lauren Dane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Protected is the second book in the Diablo Lake series by Lauren Dane. Each book in the series features a new main couple but the couple in the first book do make appearances and the story of the town is continuing. In the first book we learned that Diablo Lake, Tennessee is a small town inhabited by witches and werewolves among other things with ongoing turmoil among the packs.
Aimee Benton and Mac Pembry are on opposite sides of the pack war in Diable Lake but find themselves drawn to one another. Mac can’t help but to push Aimee’s buttons to get a rise out of her every chance he gets wanting to just be near her but when that turns into a heated kiss they find that even though on opposites sides they need one another.
Having read both books in this series I can say that while I really found the first quite fun I was hoping for a bit more when getting to the second in the series. The series is an erotic fantasy read and Lauren Dane is certainly good at her erotic side of books but what I found here was I just wanted more with the fantasy side.
Aimee and Mac were a good couple together and the chemistry does happen that you’d expect but the story of Diablo Lake seemed to stall a bit in my opinion. I wanted more of the magic and pack rivalry but this really seemed to just settle at a bunch of arguing and bickering without building a more complex plot than what was already known. Maybe as the series continues the town will grow with it though and if looking for a sexy read Lauren Dane certainly delivers that.

Crimson Tree Publishing Launches New Romance Imprint
Changing Tides Publishing is now accepting submissions for category romance and erotic romance
Changing Tides Publishing is a new imprint of Crimson Tree Publishing focusing on publishing category romance and erotic romance. Though it’s a new division, we work with a team of editors, artists, and industry professionals with years of experience in finding, polishing, and promoting fiction. We combine our editorial and marketing expertise with your passion for your story to get it into the hands of the readers who will love it. Our team provides professional cover art, marketing support, sales materials, and more to both promote our authors as well as to help our authors promote themselves. We are currently building our list and are seeking authors with strong voices, fresh ideas, and contagious enthusiasm to join our team, authors who are eager to take an active role in building their careers with us.
We are also building our blogger and ARC reviewer team. Being part of this team will grant you access to advance review copies, exclusive author interviews, sneak peeks, special giveaways, and much more. If you’re interested in applying, you can do so here.
A little about how us:
Changing Tides is a digital first company. All titles accepted, regardless of length, will be released across all ebook platforms. If a title or series does well, we reserve the option to make it available in print and audio format as well—on a case by case basis. For shorter stories in series, we will create anthologies and digital box sets. What separates us from other digital publishers is that we will, for every book or anthology over 30K words, make a print edition available for the author’s personal use, to take to trade events, to sell at book signings, and to use for promotional giveaways. This allows us a greater flexibility on what titles we can accept as we are not limiting ourselves—or you—to what brick and mortar stores can shelf. Every title has a dedicated marketing and promotional budget and we work with each author to create a detailed marketing plan for each story.
We do not offer advances, but pay a higher royalty rate to compensate. We work with a team of the best cover artists, interior formatters, editors, and marketing people in the business, and unlike some companies who simply drop and dump titles, we will leverage our team to help you continually sell books.
Though we can’t make any promises, our goal is to make every single author on our team a USA Today Bestseller. And we will work with you every step of the way to try to make that goal a reality.
What we are looking for:
Changing Tides is currently looking for romance and erotic romance in any subgenre and at any heat level. Our ideal projects are: category romance stories that stand alone in a connected world or with a connected theme, prolific erotic romance authors who can release multiple short titles a year, or sweeping epic love stories that itch to be told in serial format.
We would love to see paranormal, comedy, cowboys, mystery cozies, bad boys, billionaires, sports romance, BDSM, LGBTQ, strong heroines, alpha males, workplace romance, shifters, space operas, and everything in between.

Turning to leave the room, Baleigh stopped dead in her tracks. Voices. A female voice and one she recognized right away… Jodie. Fuck. She could also hear footsteps and there were more than one set. Derrick? Baleigh was stuck at the door entrance. The voices came from the back of the house and it dawned her she did not lock the door. An inward groaned rang through her, they would know right off someone had broken in.
She clutched the revolver and knew she might have to shoot her way out. What seemed like a nice little tattle tale was turning into a shoot out. Baleigh’s whole inside were racked with fear. She had no idea which way to go, cringing she poked her head
out to see if she could make out where they were. Glancing down the hall towards the kitchen her eyes could not focus in the darkness.
It was pitch black, no shadows of light which was odd to her. Then with a sudden force something hard smashed to her face. Baleigh had no idea what hit her, she crumbled to the ground as the haunting silence captured her.
