About the book:
Snowball–an aptly named bundle of feline fluff–is thankful to be spending her first Christmas in the comfort of Weber Haus, the Victorian B&B run by Miss Tilly. Emily Diemer, who cooks for the guests, dotes on Snowball, but she’s not thrilled about another new arrival at the B&B: Miss Tilly’s nephew, Lukas. Which is odd, because Snowball’s animal instincts tell her that Lukas and Emily should definitely be friends.
Everything Emily needs is in this quaint community–including, she hopes, the chance to open her own bakery one day. She doesn’t think much of Lukas for leaving his aging aunt to struggle while he jets around the world taking photographs. But now that he’s here, helping to spruce up the property and getting mixed up in Snowball’s antics, she begins to soften a little. Until she learns what he has planned . . .
Lukas is going to sell Weber Haus so that Miss Tilly can retire. But Snowball is certain that this B&B, and these people, are supposed to be her forever home. Somehow she has to get these stubborn humans to see things through the wisdom of a cat’s eye and a kitten’s loyal, loving heart . . .
Alright, I don’t know who came up with the cover for this one but of course they suckered me right into picking it up… I mean, come on, who can say no to the little face, it’s adorable!! Thankfully for me this holiday contemporary romance was just as sweet on the inside as it was on the outside.
Snowball’s Christmas is a book that changes the point of view between the characters during the story but the special thing with this one is that Snowball, the sweet kitty, also gets a POV. Snowball belongs to Miss Tilly who runs a B&B where she employs Emily. Emily cooks at that B&B and isn’t looking forward to her bosses nephew, Lukas, coming for the holidays. However, Snowball thinks Lukas and Emily are perfect for one another and wants them to figure that out.
Being a huge animal lover every once in a while I just have to pick up a book with an animal point of view and hope for some cuteness galore. Snowball’s Christmas was just such a read and I of course fell immediately in love with little Snowball. It really didn’t hurt that the couple in question were also likable too. Toss in a Christmas setting and of course I became a fan of this sweet romance.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Nice review Carrie. This must be the book prior to The Twelve Days of Snowball, which comes out at the end of this month. Like you, when I see a cute animal on the cover of a book, I’m going to read it!

Great review, Carrie, but.. come on. A kitten? Really? That’s so emotionally manipulative. 🤣

You’re not kidding! I had to add it and it’s way unlike what I would normally read. If the story is nearly as sweet as that face though.. I’ll love it!

I don’t read this type often but sometimes the animal point of view is just what I need with all the crappy world news we get these days.

Agreed! I read ‘A Dog’s Courage’ earlier this year and it damn near broke my heart, stitched it back together, and filled it with feels. I may have cried a little. If this one is even a fraction as good, it will be more than worth it.
