Personal Delivery by Ainsley Booth is the first book in the Billionaire Secrets series. The book would probably be best described as a bit of an erotic rom/com. What you have here is taking a mix of the television show Undercover Boss and mixing it with the female fantasy of a hot man in uniform then tossing on a bit of Cinderella vibe and the fantasy of a handsome billionaire sweeping you off your feet.
Jana is a single gal who gets a lot of work packages delivered to her home while surrounded by her cats. When a hot new delivery guy takes over the route her fantasies begin and when she shares with a friend she suddenly finds herself with more packages showing up bringing back her favorite driver each day.
Under the uniform Jake is actually a billionaire who just acquired the shipping company his is investigating by working undercover. The best part of this new task however are his daily stops at Jana’s house and he finds himself wanting to get to know her better.
To be honest I picked this title up as an Amazon freebie to read as part of a reading challenge and was just hoping I wouldn’t be summing up the experience with “you get what you paid for” so color me surprised to find this one actually a rather enjoyable read. Jana was rather likable and funny straight away and then there are plenty of steamy moments between Jana and Jake.
And to top it all off we didn’t have the fly off the handle reveal to Jake being a billionaire to toss in what seems the required amount of angst but instead just a fun story between the two. So to sum it all up instead of saying you get what you paid for I will say you just can’t beat free and try this one out for a bit of fun.
