After Charlotte Bailey caught her ex cheating on her she headed off to Christmas, Colorado to try to save the local hospital from closure. After a trip back to her home in New York though where she thought she would be in for a promotion and returning permanently Charlotte finds herself being forced back to Christmas to close the hospital when her ex took over the seat on the board of Bailey Industry from her father.

Charlotte has gotten to know the residents of Christmas, Colorado during her time managing things at the hospital during her assignment from Bailey Industry. She doesn’t know how she’s going to take the hospital away from them, especially Dr. Matt Trainer or as he’s known around the hospital, Dr. McSexy. Now that she’s back in Christmas Charlotte finds herself growing closer to Matt despite all her attempts to keep her distance in this small town.

Miracle at Christmas by Debbie Mason is a contemporary romance novella that is a companion read to the Christmas, Colorado series. As with most romance series each book in the series features a new couple from this small town so they can be read in any order or as standalones if choosing to do so. There are hints and appearances of previous characters though as the story unfolds in the current book for those fans of the entire series to get updates on the characters they’ve come to love.

For me from the time I read the synopsis of this book to the time I was actually done reading I was greatly reminded of Grey’s Anatomy television series. Instead of doctors McDreamy and McSteamy Christmas, Colorado has it’s own Dr. McSexy and the story line is one of saving the hospital while beginning a relationship so I knew I should love this one and thankfully that was true. Would definitely recommend this one to the romance fans out there with it’s lovely writing and small town vibe with a great story.
