The Best Man's BrideThe Best Man’s Bride by Anne McAllister
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jack Masterson is a rock star with his share of groupies throwing themselves his way but he had never been interested in any of that. The one woman that did interest Jack had married him but left him two years before and he’s been living a lonely life since their big fallout. Now Jack finds himself being invited to be the best man at his friend, Prince Jonas’, wedding and wondering if he’ll run into his ex while there.

After two years Celina Harris is finally putting her life back together since her divorce. She’d taken on the job of appointment secretary to San Michele’s Serene Dowager Margaret and had tried a bit of dating with no luck. When Celina finds out that her ex-husband will be attending the royal wedding she’s a bit taken aback but knows she must do whatever she can to resist Jack’s charm and avoid heading back into the world of a rock star.

The Best Man’s Bride by Anne McAllister is the fourth book in the contemporary romance Royal Wedding Invitations series. The series consists of four books by various authors that follow a story that started in the first book with Hope and Prince Jonas meeting and deciding to marry. With each additional book though the main characters switch to another couple involved in the upcoming wedding and tell their story. With most romance series the changing of the characters means they are great as standalones but this one I’d suggest following from the beginning for the full story.

A bit of a different type of romance read with this installment of the series as it brings in a couple that definitely have a background in being that they were actually once married. Celina and Jack had a misunderstanding two years before with it leading to divorce and obviously from the first moments there is a connection there that never ended. Along with the relationship the book has some action and of course a lot of catching up with the wedding that had come about in the previous books.

In the end I found when finished this was a great addition and overall I enjoyed the whole series and how it continued the main story onwards in each book while having a completely different set up for each couple. I would definitely recommend checking out these quick romance reads that while different from one another it makes a great story when read together.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
