Stella Martens has always considered herself an average girl living an average life in the average town with the fitting name, Average, New Hampshire. That is until the day when Stella meets an angel that breaks code and tells Stella where she really came from. Stella just happens to be a fallen angel by the name of Vitrella.
Vitrella had chosen to be reborn as a human baby with no memory of her former self. Now that Stella has met an angel and knows her past she is told that she needs to fulfill Vitrella’s wish-granting quota without any supernatural help. As any modern teen would Stella takes to social media to find wishes to grant and when she thinks she’s found an easy enough task Stella sets to matchmaking.
Wish Upon a Fallen Star is a novella length read and the first book in the Average Angel series. The story was OK enough but a bit shallow with the length being so short. It did include several different things happening during the read but perhaps that’s why I felt it all lacked bit of depth and character development to rate a bit higher. I did enjoy the idea well enough though that I would probably continue to see what happens with Stella and her wishes in other installments of the series.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
