Falling Under (Ink & Chrome, #2) by Lauren Dane

Falling Under (Ink & Chrome, #2)Falling Under by Lauren Dane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Duke Bradshaw has had his eye on his neighbor Carmella Rossi for at least a year. When a position opens up at his business Twisted Steel he offers Carmella the job as he knows she’s been unemployed. Even though Camella has had a thing for Duke for a while too with the two working together and her track record for relationships she’s determined to keep it professional but the sparks soon fly for the pair.

Falling Under is the second book in the Ink and Chrome series by Lauren Dane but could be read fine as a stand alone novel, each book in the series has featured a relationship with one of the men of Twisted Steel.

I didn’t quite enjoy this as much as Opening Up. It was still plenty steamy and a nice relationship developing between Duke and Carmella but I think at times Carmella was just too closed off or jealous for my taste. She had an incredible past and a tough time trusting but Duke was such a laid back good guy that it got somewhat frustrating waiting for her to see it.

Still a good read though and will be looking forward to the next in the series.
