Recipe For Lust
Alice Ward
Publication date: August 19th 2016
Genres: Adult, Romance

Combine two hot guys and one lonely girl. Add a teaspoon of longing and a pinch of drama, and what do you get? The perfect recipe for lust.

My life had been one big comfort zone — long term boyfriend, long term friends, long term boring life. I wanted sizzle. Something new. Something different. When they say you better be careful what you wish for… believe me, you better.

I’m Claire Walker, and on a whim, I applied for the hot reality show, Extreme Cuisine, to launch my dream career as a chef. I soon found out I’d bit off more than I could chew when I was tossed into the pressure cooker of the show.

Over nine long weeks, I served up my best, even while cameras and everyone else watched my every move. So, how does a good girl from LA end up in the tabloids with a famous chef, surrounded by scandal and betrayal? Welcome to my life…

Remember Claire from Unraveling the Billionaire? If you loved Lauren and Asher, you’ll adore Claire and her journey to step out of her comfort zone, take a few risks, and discover love. Beware, it’s hot in the kitchen. 18+

This is a standalone book so even if you haven’t yet read Unraveling the Billionaire you can jump right into this one with no problems. HEA included.

Unwrapped (Beachwood Bay, #2.5) by Melody Grace

Unwrapped (Beachwood Bay, #2.5)Unwrapped by Melody Grace
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lacey James is on the way home to attend her best friend’s wedding when she runs into Daniel Sullivan. Daniel had dated Lacey’s friend but Lacey had always had a bit of a crush on Daniel, the nice guy that her friend had let get away who is the complete opposite of Lacey’s wild personality. When Lacey and Daniel find themselves stranded and having to share a hotel room things get a bit out of hand between the pair but will the relationship last when they return to Beachwood Bay?

Unwrapped is a companion novella to the Beachwood Bay series by Melody Grace. As far as I know this one reads fine as a standalone story about just this couple since I myself haven’t read the rest of the series. You do get to know this couple in this particular story and their time together though so it doesn’t seem you need any other books to understand this one.

I was a bit iffy about this one since Lacey is meeting up with her friend’s ex-boyfriend but my worries were put to rest in the story along those lines so in the end I really liked this read. Being a novella it passes by at a pretty quick pace but still a lovely tale of two people who had known each other but didn’t get the chance to explore a relationship, definitely a case of opposites attracting.

Elementals 4: The Portal to Kerberos by Michelle Madow

Elementals 4: The Portal to KerberosElementals 4: The Portal to Kerberos by Michelle Madow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Portal to Kerberos is the fourth book in the Elementals series by Michelle Madow. The book picks up right where the action left the readers in the third book in the series, The Head of Medusa. The entire series is a fast paced young adult fantasy adventure heavily based on Greek Mythology.

In this series we have been introduced to five teens who have elemental powers and have been sent on an adventure to close the portal to Kerberos and save the world. Each book has led to a high intensity action packed adventure along their journey with this latest being no exception to that.

I don’t want to get into too many details with this being the fourth book in the series but I will say that Michelle Madow has done it yet again, another awesome installment continuing the adventure that started in the first book. Each time I’ve picked one of these books up I’ve come to expect to be on the edge of my seat just waiting for the journey to take on another exciting twist.

Again the readers are left with a huge cliffhanger in the story to hold them over for the fifth and final book in this series and I just can’t wait to see how it will all turn out. I’d definitely recommend checking out the Elementals series. It would be best to start at the beginning with The Prophecy of Shadows since this is one long continuing story and best explained following the books in order although there is a bit of back story to bring a reader back into the action in each.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
