After a full October of spooky themed tunes you may see this post and think well here she goes with the Christmas tunes. Actually I didn’t plan at all to have Christmas music up but my cousin shared an article the other day that there’s radio stations out there banning this Christmas classic due to being offended over the lyrics…. Really?? A classic Christmas song?? Well, I’m offended over people being offended over every little thing and not just choosing to not participate in whatever it is they are currently complaining about themselves but instead insisting that no one can enjoy it either. So in answer I decided to play the song myself for those that still just think it’s a catchy tune. There’s so many versions out there too I decided to share a few of them! 😇

Exactly! I thought that was so ridiculous myself. So far the worst I’ve heard this year was Kristen Bell’s comment complaining about how the prince didn’t ask Snow White’s permission before kissing her hand! Give me a break.

Oh my, I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry at that one. Exactly the “going too far” that we’re hearing more and more that this movement has brought out unfortunately.

I think they are taking the “Me Too” movement too far. I’ve always enjoyed this song and don’t think the lyrics are in any way offensive.

Yes, I do too unfortunately. I was reading an article not too long ago how it started as something uplifting but has turned into something that is only setting things backwards now and I can definitely see that which is sad.

I have always thought this song was cute. So I agree that people need to stop being offended over every little thing. It’s a classic for a reason! It’s so good!

Thanks, obviously I completely agree! This one has been around for 80 years or so and so many good people have sang it without ever having this brought up before so it just seems so silly now.

Yes, exactly! The times have changed tremendously since the 1940s when that was written and the fun, flirty banter now gets turned into something ominous for those that just look for things to complain about.
