The Night Stalker by Robert Bryndza
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Detective Erika Foster has been called in to investigate the murder of a prominent doctor. The doctor was found in his bed with his wrists bound and a clear plastic bag tied over his head. As Erika and her team are just beginning the investigation into the first murder another victim is found killed in exactly the same manor.
As the suspects start to pile up Erika and her team find themselves in a race to stop a serial killer before the body count rises. The victims are all single men, with very private lives with secrets of their own. Erika and her team need to find the link that connects all of these victims before it’s too late.
The Night Stalker is the second book in the DCI Erika Forster series by Robert Bryndza. This one could be read as a standalone but the first book in the series, The Girl in the Ice, made me a huge fan of Erika and her tough as nails, do whatever it takes to solve her case style.
With numerous twists and turns as the leads are followed and our suspects pile up this is one of those definite page turners as we follow the clues along with the detectives. I think any fans of a good police procedural will become completely engaged in this series featuring a gritty and determined strong female lead.
Overall, another great edition in this series, definitely would recommend.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
