About the book:

From the New York Times bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne comes a brand-new novel for fans of Debbie Macomber and Susan Wiggs. RaeAnne Thayne tells the story of an emotional homecoming that brings hope and healing to three generations of women.

The life Olivia Harper always dreamed of isn’t so dreamy these days. The 16-hour work days are unfulfilling and so are things with her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when she hears that her estranged mother, Juliet, has been seriously injured, Liv has no choice but to pack up her life and head home to beautiful Cape Sanctuary on the Northern California coast.

It’s just for a few months—that’s what Liv keeps telling herself. But the closer she gets to Cape Sanctuary, the painful memories start flooding back: Natalie, her vibrant, passionate older sister who downward-spiraled into addiction. The fights with her mother who enabled her sister at every turn. The overdose that took Natalie, leaving her now-teenaged daughter, Caitlin, an orphan.

As Liv tries to balance her own needs with those of her injured mother and an obstinate, resentful fifteen-year-old, it becomes clear that all three Harper women have been keeping heartbreaking secrets from one another. And as those secrets are revealed, Liv, Juliet, and Caitlin will see that it’s never too late—or too early—to heal family wounds and find forgiveness.

The Sea Glass Cottage is another wonderful contemporary romance from RaeAnne Thayne. This story covers the lives of three generations of ladies changing the point of view between them to tell the full tale.

Olivia Harper is at a point in her life that it’s becoming obvious the hopeful future she thought she would have isn’t coming about. When Olivia finds out that her mother, Juliet, has been seriously injured in a car accident she takes the opportunity to take a step back from her own life and head to beautiful Cape Sanctuary on the Northern California coast to help out.

Coming back to Cape Sanctuary brings back all the memories of the past that Olivia had left behind, especially those of her older sister, Natalie, Natalie had been a wild and rebellious teen which did not lead to a wonderful outcome with Natalie passing away at a young age leaving behind a daughter who Juliet is now raising.

The Sea Glass Cottage was a real page turner from beginning to end as you dive into the lives of the three ladies in this story. Olivia, Juliet and Caitlin find themselves confronting the secrets of the past and forging their new future together which made for an engaging read from start to finish. RaeAnne Thayne again showed wonderful writing that I’ve come to expect which made me fall in love with the Harper family and their cottage in Cape Sanctuary.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
