Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Monday.
The song and video I am sharing today is:
Autograph – Turn Up the Radio
I’ve been watching others participate in this meme for a while now and thought it’s about time to jump in and start sharing myself. What better song to start off with because if we are listening to music of course we should turn it up! 🙂
Lyrics:
Turn it up!
Yeah!
I’m working hard, you’re working too
We do it every day
For every minute I have to work
I need a minute of play
Day in day out all week long
Things go better with rock
The only time I turn it down
Is when I’m sleepin it off
Turn up the radio
I need the music, gimmie some more
Turn up the radio
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
Now listen!
I want to shake, I want to dance
So count it off a’one two three
I feel the beat, I’m in a trance
No better place to be
Daytime nightime, anytime
Things go better with rock
I’m goin’ twenty four hours a day
I can’t seem to stop
Turn up the radio
I need the music, gimmie some more
Turn up the radio
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
Turn up the radio
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
Turn up the radio
I need the music, gimmie some more
(Yeah!)
Turn up the radio
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
(Wah!)
Turn up the radio
(Come on!)
I need the music, gimmie some more
(Everybody)
Turn up the radio
(Turn it up!)
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
(Whoo!)
Turn up the radio
(Turn it up!)
I need the music, gimmie some more
(Gimmie some more)
Turn up the radio
(Whew! Come on)
I want to feel it got to gimmie some more
(Gimmie all you got!)
Turn up the radio

Awesome pick Carrie! I wish I hadn’t been dealing with goodreads issues all day and I had read this earlier because now I’ve got the song stuck in my head and it’s bedtime.😒
Seriously?? WTH? Why in the world would someone bother hacking Goodreads accounts?? That’s like reading someone’s diary and ripping it up out of spite. So sorry you are dealing with that. 😦 I actually thought you meant it wasn’t behaving right since sometimes I go in and things won’t load or pages act up etc.
I know? I’m assuming that’s what happened anyway. Either that or someone at Goodreads deleted it. All I know is that Imsure didn’t at 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning! I’m so upset about this Carrie. I’ve asked for an explanation and I’m waiting to hear back from them. I’ve been a member for 4 years and I’ve reviewed hundreds of books. Now I’ve lost those reviews and even worse, all my friends and followers.😭
Oh I know I would be too! I have been on there for a few years now and the thought of trying to recover over 1000 reviews by maybe copying from my blog is bad enough but what about all the friends you’ve made over the years??? That’s just ridiculous. And I don’t see the point to someone even trying to hack into Goodreads since it’s not a place to go buy the books where you would think they would try to steal from users.
I don’t understand it at all Carrie. All I’m going to be able to do is to set up a new account and put up a post on my blog. But I’m not even sure about that because I don’t know if I want to set up another account is there’s no assurance that this won’t happen again. Wouldn’t you think they’d send you an email asking you to confirm that you wanted to delete your account? To me, this is unacceptable.
Seriously, most things would have some kind of confirmation to do something that drastic. I suppose though that even if they had maybe they had changed the email associated?? But I can’t imagine allowing stuff like that to be changed without an extra security step. And you would think there would be a back up to the site in case someone accidentally did something if it were as easy as clicking a button. I wonder if you can find some kind of cached version on the web if they won’t look for it though…. ??
I’m not sure if it’ll work but I remember accidentally deleting a page I had once and someone searched and found it for me so if anything maybe you can see some things to help out that way. I’m honestly still in shock that it would even happen, another thing that just boggles my mind and makes me worry about the world we live in.
This is scary Carrie. I’ve changed my passwords on everything including WordPress, Amazon, Edelweiss, Amazon, and Penguin First to Read… I can’t even imagine if this had happened to my blog. I have over 3400 followers with hundreds of posts. It’s my baby. I’d be devastated if something similar happened.
I haven’t been able to find anything of mine through google yet, but I’ll keep trying.
I can’t believe they aren’t being more helpful. I know sites that will allow you to “delete” your account but you can also get it back if/when you’re ready to do so. I suppose though Goodreads is free so they don’t feel it necessary to do extra measures but that leads me back to why would a hacker even try?? Starting over would be more than a pain too for us when publishers do look at things like account age and number of followers. Plus I’d just be pissed to lose my challenge data from the last few years that stays displayed.
Thanks! But that’s just another thing that makes me shocked they don’t take user security more seriously. I could see if you were asking for an account from a couple of years ago but within a day or two they should be able to restore. 😦
Love! A favorite. Great pick for Music Monday. 💗

Oops sorry! I haven’t done more than peak at goodreads today so thankfully I seemed to have missed any issues, that’s never fun to deal with.

Apparently, someone hacked my account and deleted it, and now they’re telling me there’s no way to get it back. I never got a warning or anything.🤬

Oh and I just had the thought I just cracked the top 100 reviewers on the all time list on there. I’d cry. Seriously.
