Tara Logan wakes up one morning in a strange bed with no memory of the night before. When she finds that she is in her neighbor’s bed and he is covered in blood and has been murdered she panics and heads for home. Tara knows no matter what she remembers she would never have killed anyone so in order to protect her family she keeps her secret.

When the police come knocking on their door though Tara and her family find themselves right in the middle of the investigation. Not only does Tara have her secrets but so do her husband and her teenage daughter so the family finds themselves all suspects as the investigation takes place.

My third time reading a Kathryn Croft novel and the third time I find myself glued to the book until the very end. At the start of this story I thought perhaps I knew what would happen but believe me I kept changing my mind with every page turn so congrats again to keeping me guessing Ms. Croft.

My one complaint with this book though came with a relationship that formed in the middle of the book. Without giving away any spoilers I’ll just say I found it odd and somewhat out of place but it wasn’t really pursued too terribly much so I didn’t take off too much for this one. Thankfully I was too busy following the suspects and enjoying the suspense portion of the read.

Overall, 4.5 stars, another great page turning thriller from this author. I definitely count myself as a fan and will look forward to reading more.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
